October Favourites
Hey look what it is bloggerellas, a legit blog post! *gasp* Anyway, here's a beauty related post for you beauties out there, on my faves for the month of October. I really enjoy monthly favourites videos and blog posts and I've been meaning to do this for some time now and finally here it is! I don't know if I will continue to do this every single month since my favourites will probably be the same next month but I guess I'll update it if anything. These are the products that I use on a daily basis and I love them! They are pretty basic things you could find at the drugstore (minus Frederic Fekkai and Moroccan Oil). Let me know if you want to see reviews on any of these products!
FACE:
Burt's Bees Pomegranate Oil Lip Balm, Pakistani Hashmi Kajal, E.L.F Liquid Eyeliner, Avon Super Shock Mascara, Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Creme. |
These are a the most used face products for this month; they include a tinted lip balm, eye kohl, liquid eyeliner, black mascara and a moisturizer. First off, Burt's Bees Pomegranate Oil Lip Balm is the absolute BEST lip balm EVER! I have yet to find a comparable to this one. Prior to this I was using Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm which was also a favourite of mine until I came across the Pomegranate Oil Lip Balm! The generic Hashmi Kajal is something that I've used on and off for YEARS! I was first introduced by my Mum, whose been using it for years as well. The E.L.F liquid eyeliner is a product I recently came across and has quickly become a favourite of mine that I love to use for a dramatic winged tip! The Avon Super Shock Mascara was another steal from my moms makeup basket but good thing she wasn't a huge fan, because it works wonders for me! This is a DEFINITE re-purchase! It wasn't always love with the Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Creme, it was actually thrown in the bottom of my drawer for quite sometime ... I am quite picky with moisturisers and the light consistency of this Gel Creme did not sit well with me. I decided to give it another try and voila! It changed my mind. It is quiet refreshing especially after you've just washed your face and there is a certain lightness to it that I like, since I hate the feeling of heavy/oily cream on my face. *To know where to find these products scroll to end of post.*
NAILS:
Sally Hansen Kwik Off Nail Polish Remover |
My favourite nail product for this month is the Sally Hansen Kwik Off Nail Polish Remover (WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?). This is genius for removing nail polish quickly and efficiently and I wish I had tried this earlier. If you are using this good on you, and if not, why are you still here?! Go get yourself one of these handy things! I was actually introduced to this by one of my girlies who swears by it and she brought it over one time and I tried it out to cure my skeptical mind and now I refuse to wear polish if this isn't sitting on my shelf somewhere. No more scrubbing off nail polish for me! * Scroll to end of post to learn where to find this product.*
HAIR:
HAIR:
Frederic Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner, Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment, Batiste Dry Shampoo, Vatika Coconut Oil |
The Frederic Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner were another two products that I've grown to love after buying them, hating them and throwing them into the bottom of my drawer. However, I decided to give the duo another chance and I've grown to love them immensely! The only draw back is that each bottle costs approx. $25.00 which is a little much, now that I think about it ... The Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment is a dream to use after a shower; only a drop is needed to give your locks a lovely scent and a healthy shine! The Vatika Coconut Oil has been a favourite for the last 6-7 months and has helped with repairing my hair and with growth. * See below for where to find. *
