Day 4 - Your favorite foundation
I don't have the best luck with foundations to be completely honest, but does anyone? Skin colours are as unique as our finder prints, and it's hard to match the perfect foundation sometimes. Trying to figure out if "Honey beige" or "medium dark" will match my face or not can be quite a task; so I prefer to use the colour matching foundations out there. You know the ones that blend into your own skin colour and seem to match it perfectly? Yeah, those. I know, they may not cover up some skin imperfections as well but that's what I prefer. I hate having a face slapped on with full coverage foundation. I like something light and hardly there. I want my skin to breath. I want to look and feel like me. Believe it or not, I have a MAC foundation, and it most definitely is full coverage but I haven't worn it more than a few times which I can count on my hands. Yes, I paid MAC $30 to have their cakey foundation take up precious space in my drawer.

For the longest time, I used Avon's MagiX Cashmere Foundation (which I believe is renamed as the MagiX Face Perfector) and I loved it! It was the best foundation I had ever used. Slight exaggeration, but you get the idea. It was actually my mums (mind you, she doesn't even need foundation), and once I saw how flawless it made her skin, I knew I needed to try it. She is 3-4 shades lighter than I am, and I knew that I would look ghost face if I wore it, that to, to a wedding we had to attend that evening. I took the plunge and applied some to my face, while I  said a prayer to the foundation gods. Low and behold, I was pleasantly surprised. The foundation disappeared into my skin, covering it perfectly, not leaving me cakey or ghost faced!

I've used that foundation for a 2 years or so and decided it was time to switch it up. On a random visit to the drugstore, V and I (Hi, V!!) were browsing around the makeup aisles while we blabbered about all the things we "needed" to have; when she encouraged me to try out the Annabelle Skin True Foundation. I was a little reluctant at first, but once she tested it out for me, I was sold. Thanks to V, this is now my favourite foundation. And although, I don't need to use too much, I get the coverage I want while still looking like myself! I'd say I scored on that one!

See you tomorrow,
