Collective Drugstore Beauty Haul

Hello there ladies (and gents)! I've recuperated my brain/mind and am back to my cheerful bubbly self after I went bizzerk last weekend, and turned into a Jealous, Burned Out and Agitated bear. I had a good earful from the Mr. and am slowly (yet surely) learning how to deal with my inner problems and so far I think I'm doing pretty good! It's a process but I think I can do it (deep breaths)! Now that that's over, we can get on to the good stuff!  I have for you, a collective haul of beauty things I've purchased this last little while from my local Shoppers Drug Mart and Target
I've been looking to try out a new shampoo and conditioner line as I got tired of my Sunsilk Stunning Black Shine and Tresemme 24 Hour Volumizing combo. I decided to go with Marc Anthony's line of products after I had a good experience using the Marc Anthony Strictly Curls line at the besties, J, while staying at her place! It does wonders for her lovely curly locks and I thought to myself, I need to get me some of that! I did some research and decided on the Oil of Morocco line of shampoo and conditioner as my first choice, and Instantly Thick as my second choice (if one or the other was unavailable). I decided to use my brain and figure out the cost difference and since it totalled cheaper if I were to purchase both at the sale price, rather than full price in the future - sounds confusing but it makes perfect sense I tell you! The St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub has been mentioned on this blog numerous times (you must be annoyed by now), but I looovveeee it!
Although I love my Body Shop Moringa Butter (previously mentioned here), I am now obsessed with the St. Ives Hydrating Vitamin E Lotion that I recently came across and I think this is my new fave! I absolutely LOVE the scent and the consistency of the lotion and thus I purchased the large size! I'm also currently using the Spectro HydraCare Facial Moisturizer specifically for dry skin, after hearing good words from the bestie; I hope to do a review on it soon!
The Marcelle Nutrilux Limited Edition Supreme Repair Lip Balm has to be my favourite purchase of all and I'm super excited to try this baby out! This is my very first Marcelle product, and I have heard quite a few good things about the brand so hopefully I have good things to say at the end of the day!
One of the items on my wish list was the Rimmel London Volume Accelerator Mascara and I actually went hunting for it as my Benefit Bad Gal Mascara is now in my empties basket! Yes! I've finally finished it and am ready for something new! The Volume Accelerator Mascara looks super exciting and I can't wait to try it out! Did I mention how appealing the packaging is? Rimmel's stepping up their game! These last two items were purchased on a bit of a whim ... The Essence Breaking Dawn Glitter Eyeliner (in 02 - Jacob's Protection) was not something I planned on buying but rather caught my eye as I rummaged through the a bin of Essence goodies. I am not a fan of the Twilight series whatsoever (Harry Potter, YES! Twilight, NO!) and purchased the eyeliner purely for the beautiful dark blue colour - can't wait to wear it out! I don't recall trying out any CoverGirl makeup for what ever reason and this Clump Crusher Mascara was more of a impulse buy as I got up to the register. The sales associate told me it was on sale for half price and I was sold! Although, I'm not 100% sure about the plastic brush applicator ... but I'll let you know how it goes!

Phew! That was a long one! Thank you for sticking around and let me know what you'd like to see a review on!

  1. Fabulous haul! To me the most interesting is the Oil of Morocco, I've been hearing great things about Argan Oil (yet to try it!) & I love that it's sulfate free.
