Keep your friends close.

I just finished watching Dil Chahta Hai, and if you haven't seen it then you might as well go hide under your rock for some more time because clearly that's where you've been all along .... On a serious note it's a great movie to see if you need a pick-me-up or if you are just plain bored. This would be the 5th or 6th time(?) I've seen it (yes,I'm one of those people who watch movies again and again), don't judge me! It's 3 hours long, mind you; I was doing other things whilst watching and eating wasn't one of them. I generally watch movies in the background while I write blog posts, read, research, clean, cook and organize; and now I'm getting waayyyyy of topic. The film is in Hindi, but do watch it even if you don't understand, I'll translate for you later (no, I won't). What are you still doing here? GO. WATCH IT. NOW. Run along!

But in all seriousness after watching the film, I came to realise how important friendship really is. The three main characters are: Akash, Samir and Siddharth, who, from the looks of it were friends since College. The relationship the three of them share together is wonderful and not to mention quite humorous. As you watch them in the film, go through life's situations together, you begin to see how each individuals' opinions lead them to disagree with one another, ultimately leading to the main plot, the fall out. What I liked most was how each character was there for one another during their time of need. That is called true friendship.

Sorry to get a little sappy on you but I can't help it! Eeeek! Friendship is such an amazing relationship to have and be greatful for the ones who care for you. Having friends there in your bad times, good times and moments of struggle is such a blessing; I think you would agree when I say that friends keep you sane! Friends are the family that God didn't give you (I've heard this before and thought it was so true!), you love them and argue with them and they will always be there for you (hopefully!). Keep your friends super close because they need you as much as you need them!
P.S. Did you noticed I posted twice today? Did'ya? Did'ya? I'm on a roll!

  1. Dil Chahta Hai is a great movie no? I LOVED the songs when I was younger. I really liked the first Sisterhood of Travelling Pants film too (the picture you posted!)
I've drifted away from some of my school friends now but I'll always remember & cherish the times we spent together!

    1. Yes! Likewise, the songs were always on replay :) SOTTP is one of my all time favourites, I can watch those movies again and again! I think everyone drifts away from their school friends at some point. I definetly have and regret not keeping in touch! Guess that's life!
